Meng Lang
ImageMeng Lang was born in 1961 in Shanghai. Throughout the 1980s, he was an active participant in various unofficial poetry movements in China. He co-edited A Compendium of Modern Chinese Poerty,1986-1988, published by Tongji University Press in 1988. He moved to the US in 1995 and was Writer in Residence at Brown University from 1995 to 1998. In 2001, he co-founded the Independent Chinese PEN Center. Meng Lang currently lives in Hong Kong and is the founder and principal editor of  Morning Bell Press. His poetry and other works have been published and translated into other languages such as English, Japanese, Italian, Spanish, and Swedish. [Read]
