Edgar Y.B. Mao was born on 21st March, 1986, in Guangzhou, Guangdong, China. He spent his pre-college years in Guangzhou, and in the year 2004 went to Peking University where, after four years of study, he was awarded a B.A degree in English Language and Literature. He is currently enrolled in an M.Phil programme in English (Literary Studies) at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He is interested in a variety of literature-related topics, including Elizabethan drama and modern drama, modern poetry (both in English and Chinese), 19th and 20th century short stories, as well as creative writing in poetry and drama.
