Phoebe Tsang
ImagePhoebe Tsang is a British-Canadian poet, author, librettist and playwright whose artistic practice favours interdisciplinary collaboration and improvisation as a vehicle for composition and performance. She is the author of the full-length poetry collection Contents of a Mermaid's Purse (Tightrope Books), and her libretti have been commissioned by the Toronto Symphony Orchestra, Canadian Sinfonietta, Talisker Players, and Hamilton Philharmonic Orchestra. Her play in progress, I Am Not Iphigenia, was selected for the 2018 Gros Morne Playwrights' Residency (Canada). In 2017, she was awarded an Artist Residency at the Jack Straw Cultural Center (Seattle, WA) to record Button Music, a collection of poetry and song. [Poetry]
