Sea Drawing III: Hong Kong International Airport

by Wawa

departure hall

                                                                 ultramarine #120A8F
                                                                                            october night

                                                                                                    scent of sea water
                                                                                                    in damp air

                                                                 we are almost there

silent benches endure
appearances
wind hitting glass windows
enduring appearers
because coming is going
you are only absent

Laura leaves
we stay behind
Laura didn't leave
She sent us away

Her plane takes off
the sea stays the same
without Laura
without Laura's past

                                                                                            "Welcome home"
                                                                                            You were almost here
