Gabriel Jensen Bloch is originally from the United States but has been living on and off in China and Japan since 1999. He is one of those corporate lawyers who pulls out the laptop and works on essays, stories and novels after hours. He is fluent in Chinese and Japanese and is fighting hard to make sure his toddler will some day speak passable English.
