Arlene Kim
ImageArlene Kim is a second-generation Korean-American who grew up on the east coast of the US and now lives and writes on the west coast. She received a BA in literature from Brown University and an MFA in poetry from the University of Minnesota where her work won the Academy of American Poets James Wright Prize. Her first collection of poems is forthcoming from Milkweed Editions in Spring 2011. She is currently researching, writing, and experimenting with poetry/comics hybrids for a new collection based on a filicide that occurred in the eighteenth-century royal court of Korea.
