Two Poems

by Yibing Huang

Folegandros

Folegandros
Wild and barren

Yet on that island I saw
A sky full of stars

I saw a place
Farther than the sea

--Please
Before I sink

--Bring me from inside your body
A tiny bit of love

(translated by the author from the Chinese)

You Are Island

You are island
A breathing island
When you come close to me
I can hear sea waves
Gently roaring

We are in the same dark
Even if I don't see you
And you don't see me
That's because I
Am behind your eyes
Quietly feeling you
I am your eyes

(translated by the author from the Chinese)
