Two Poems

Sunrise never hesitates; sunset
Does. Us not wanting to end, I know.
Still. Something in the stillness makes me

Make believe things in the world care, let
Us in, drop a sign. A hint somehow.
There was a time, recent in memory

(I’d been fooled once by the Internet)
I shut my laptop but the great show
Went on, the twilight birds like one cry


Ride with me love, you’re the dream!
                              floats upstream:
have it, the wood
and as legend would
bo tree, shaped by the Buddha
