Two Poems

Statement

When too much mass is transiting on
mass transit rail
too much air conditioned
too much news on too much television
I’d write a poem

When dummies and copykitties always get by
to become nannies and mummies
my bosses and yours
leaving reasons for living behind
to drop out of school, society, railway, smartphones
I’d write a poem

Poems help me
blow smoke into and through walls
make conversation with milk tea
talk back to things, people I don’t want
steal the ones I do and keep them
